GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS

Missouri State Fairgrounds, Swine Pavilion

Directions:
- Located at the intersection of US 65 and US 50, 18 miles south of Interstate 70.
- The fairgrounds are bordered on the east by US 65 (Limit Avenue), on the north by 16th Street, and on the west by Clarendon Road (also known as Thompson Blvd).

The fairgrounds gates are locked after dusk (about 7-8pm) except for the Gates at Entry 7. This gate will be chained but the lock is not engaged.
Hotels/Motels
Campgrounds:
- Camp grounds are first come first served. They do not take reservations.
- Tent/Dry: $X per night
- Full Hookup: $X per night (30-amp electric, sewer, and water available seasonally)
- Location: North of the Swine Pavilion. Enter through Gate 6 or Gate 7 (south of the Sheep Pavilion)
- Payment is made directly to the Missouri State Fair Campground and they will collect payment at your camping spot.
- Campgrounds are North or the Swine Pavilion and South of the Sheep Pavilion
Please do not park on the grass by the pavilions. Only park on the gravel. Trailers may be unhooked but must be away from the pavilions and in a straight line.

EXHIBITION RULES AND ONLINE SALE ENTRY
Exhibitor Rules:

No Private Treaty Sales:
- Private treaty sales are prohibited on the fairgrounds or at the pens. Violators will be asked to leave.
Stock Entry
- All stock must enter through Gate 7.
- Stop at the Welcome Tent for health paper inspection before unloading.
- Pens are pre-assigned. Refer to the Pen Map for details.
Animal Identification and Health Requirements:
- All stock must be properly identified.
- Health papers must originate from a veterinarian in the state of residence.
- Contact the Missouri State Veterinarian’s office at (573) 751-3377 to ensure all criteria are met for selling or exhibiting stock in Missouri.
- Refer to Animal Health Requirements for Exhibition Regulations for full details.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI):
- All animals must have a CVI unless exempted.
- The CVI must state that the animals are free of visible signs of contagious, infectious, or communicable diseases.
- The CVI must include:
- Species, breed, sex, and age of the animal(s).
- Required test and vaccination data, including dates, results, and laboratory names.
- The CVI is valid for 30 days.
Prohibited Conditions:
- Animals with active ringworm lesions, hair loss, or visible warts will not be permitted to exhibit and may be isolated or expelled.
Change of Ownership:
- Online animals for sale will be provided with a CVI for change of ownership.
Official Identification:
- Valid forms of ID include:
- 840 RFID/EID tags
- 8 or 9-character NUES tags
- Scrapie tags
- Brucellosis tags
- Tattoos (for purebred animals with proof of registration).
Document Alteration:
- Altering or substituting information on any official form (e.g., VS Form 10-11, EIA test chart, or CVI) will invalidate the document and may result in:
- Civil penalties up to $10,000 per violation.
- Expulsion from the event.
Vesicular Stomatitis Precautions:
- Goats originating from a county with a premises under quarantine for Vesicular Stomatitis must:
- Obtain an entry permit.
- Include a statement on the CVI confirming the goats have not been exposed to Vesicular Stomatitis within the past 14 days and do not originate from a quarantined premises.
HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
By entering the Goat Expo and Midwest Buck Sale events, each exhibitor, attendee, consignor, or vendor agrees to the following:
- They are solely responsible for any loss, injury, or damage caused by their animals or property.
- They hold Midwest Buck Sale, LLC harmless against any liability arising from such incidents.
- Midwest Buck Sale, LLC will take reasonable care to ensure safety but assumes no responsibility for loss, damage, or injury to property or persons on the fairgrounds or at any other time or place.
By participating in any event or signing up for any activity related to the Midwest Buck Sale, you agree:
- “I have read the contract and agree to abide by all Midwest Buck Sale rules and regulations.”
