The Fiber Youth Goat Camp offers specialized instruction for youth interested in fiber goat care, handling, preparation, and presentation. This camp emphasizes proper husbandry, fiber evaluation, and confident showmanship skills.
Limited to 25 participants, the camp allows instructors to work closely with each youth, ensuring hands-on learning and individualized support. Campers engage in classroom education and arena practice designed to build understanding and confidence.
The camp concludes with a Final Showmanship Competition, recognizing youth for their skills and dedication. Campers are also encouraged to participate in the Skill-A-Thon, which evaluates knowledge of fiber goats and livestock management.
