I am a wife and a mother to five children.
I have worked my whole life making that paycheck even when I was a single mother. I met my wonderful husband in 2014, and been together since!
My husband and I went through so many trials, pain & grief that would’ve landed, most couples in divorce. Boy did God put us through the test! So here we go!
It started in July 2017. One year after getting married to my husband. My daughter got bit by a tick April 2017. Some of you might know her. Her name was Ashley. She graduated from Smithville in 2016. Then she worked at larry’s for a while in Plattsburg. By may she was falling down and couldn’t walk up my stairs properly. July her breathing was getting affected and by August she was in a walker with unsteady gait. By September, she no longer could walk. My dad took care of her for a little bit, then mom retired from the courthouse a couple months later to help dad during the day then it got to be so much that I left my position in the medical field to stay at home to take care of my child. We went to all the doctors appointments with a bad diagnosis of ALS, which is Lou Gehrig’s disease. From that point out of pocket, I took her to three different Homopathic doctors which all told me she had lymes disease. I had her life flighted to Nebraska university for two weeks during thanksgiving. I was told she had PMA, which is progressive muscle atrophy. My life was in shambles. On April 1, 2018, my daughter passed away. Not only was it on Easter, April fools day and my husband‘s and I’s anniversary. It was the hardest day of my life. It will always continue to be!
In July 2020 my grandma passed away that was my rock. The person that was there when I needed anything. Unfortunately, I was in the hospital with Covid when it was her funeral. This really upset me. It took a part of me not being there.
A month later my sweetest and handsome nephew Caleb at 17 years old wrecked the 4 wheeler and passed with a tragic and painful death.
On January 2021 we had a huge water leak at our house in smithville. It destroyed 4 levels of our house with water. So needless to say, all that was repaired. With the housing market the way it was, we decided to sell and move back to the country. We was going to build on my parents land and help with the farm but unfortunately Covid took my daddy’s life in Sept.
Death came for our family really hard and fast. Within 3 years. We lost so many. We did lose in that period my husbands grandma and my ex mother in law Joan that I loved dearly.
After dad passed, I got some goats that he would never let me have. He was afraid they would jump the fence and get on the house. Lol. Over the years, my husband would buy me some goat milk soap from zum. I fell in love then introduced it to my father. So every chance I got I bought him some.
So we decided to get some goats, started learning how to make soap for my daddy’s tribute and to help pay for the feed bills.
Mom and I got so busy with online sales we couldn’t keep up at home anymore. The soaping had taken over our house and kitchen. When the building we bought was presented to us at a wonderful price, we couldn’t refuse.
“God definitely has his way of saying I Love You”
God definitely has his way of saying I Love You even after all the hard times and trials we go through. And thank you for having faith in my plan even when we can’t see it. Now I know my warriors are in heaven watching over us to fight and pray along with us.
I am so blessed to have such an amazing family and friends along the way to support the biggest decision of our lives.
I’ve lost so much, why not try what God gives you!
How did we get the name, one day it was really raining hard and dad and I were standing at the front door. Way down at the curb of a driveway where the creek passes through, the water was rapidly pouring out so fast we could hear it and see it. From the house to the stream, there’s a field of dandelions on both sides of the creek. So that is where the name dandelion Creek comes from!
I just want to tell and thank everyone that has been here to support us along the way that God never gives up on you! You’re on this earth for a purpose. Let God help you and figure that out! Because you’ll never know what path he send you down.
The farm animals and my babies definitely helps with that hole in my heart and the missing puzzle pieces that one day will be mended back together in heaven one day when I see them all again!
We plan on showing our herd this summer coming up! So I hope to meet some of there!
