I began my path in fiber arts at my Mother’s knee. Sewing my first wearable garment by age 5. I would do other forms of fiber arts and in jr. high another seed was planted. On a school field trip I saw a lady doing a 1st person demo with her spinning wheel.
After high school I married and my husband was a 3rd generation sheep shearer. After we married he said I had to support the sheep and wool industry. Boy he had no idea where that comment would lead us. For my 1st wedding anniversary he gave me a spinning wheel and I attempted to teach myself to spin. With some success and alot of frustration I kept working at my spinning.
A few years later Danny gave me the gift of a 3 day intensive spinning class. Oh my! I was hooked and to this day spinning is my favorite form of fiber arts.
